Supporting Carers Through Partnerships, Grants and Community Support

How We Are Funded

North Staffs Carers is a registered charity committed to supporting unpaid carers of all ages across North Staffordshire.

The services we provide are made possible through a combination of funding sources, partnerships and community support. This funding enables us to deliver advice, information, wellbeing services, counselling, support groups, young carer activities, professional engagement and a wide range of other services for carers.

How Our Services Are Funded

North Staffs Carers delivers a range of services funded through a combination of commissioned contracts, charitable grants, trusts and community support.

This funding allows us to provide support for adult carers, young carers and families across North Staffordshire, helping carers access information, advice, wellbeing services, counselling, peer support, training and opportunities to take a break from their caring role.

Commissioned Carer Services

Some of our services are commissioned by local authorities and health partners to ensure carers have access to support when they need it most.

This includes the Stoke-on-Trent All Age Carers Service, which provides a single point of access for adult and young carers living in Stoke-on-Trent, helping carers access assessments, support, information, advice and wellbeing services.

Grant-Funded Projects

We are grateful to receive funding from charitable trusts and grant-making organisations that help us deliver additional support for carers.

Current and recent funding has enabled us to provide:

  • One-to-one support and outreach services
  • Counselling and emotional wellbeing support
  • Peer support groups and activities
  • Young Carer support programmes
  • Health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Financial information and benefit support
  • Community-based support services

Working with Funders and Partners

Our ability to support carers relies on strong partnerships with local authorities, health organisations, charitable trusts, community organisations and supporters who share our commitment to improving the lives of unpaid carers.

Together, these partnerships help us reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and ensure carers can access the support they need throughout their caring journey.

Our Funding Partners

North Staffs Carers is grateful for the support received from organisations that have helped fund services and projects, including:

  • Stoke-on-Trent City Council
  • NHS and local health partners
  • The National Lottery Community Fund
  • The Henry Smith Charity
  • Community grant programmes
  • Individual donors and supporters

Funding arrangements may change over time as projects begin, conclude or are renewed.
